Celebration of  National Librarian’s Day

Under the guidance of Chief Patron Dr. Agnese Dhillon, President, DSCW, Ferozepur, Patron Adv. Ajay Batta, Secretary, DSCW and Dr. Sangeeta, Principal, DSCW, Ferozepur, National Librarians’ Day was celebrated by DSCW Library personnel on August 12, 2026  to commemorate the birth anniversary of Padmashri Dr. S. R. Ranganathan, the Father of Library Science in India.

Faculty members and students actively participated in the programme and paid floral tributes to Dr. S. R. Ranganathan. Mrs. Alka and Mr. Gurjant Singh highlighted his pioneering contributions to library science and discussed the continued relevance of his Five Laws of Library Science in the present digital age.

Principal Dr. Sangeeta encouraged students to develop reading habit and make meaningful use of the library and its resources.
