General Rules
- All the users must observe complete silence in the Library.
- All the bags, cases, folders etc. must be placed in the luggage area.
- Borrowing time is strictly between 9.00 am to 3.30 pm.
- All the borrowed material must be returned on or before the due date.
- Reference Material is not allowed to be taken outside the library.
- Seats in the library cannot be reserved.
- All the users are required to show their college IDs to the Security officer upon entrance to the library.
- All the users are required to show all items to the security officer before leaving the library.
- No student is allowed to enter the circulation area without the consent of the library staff.
- Users are not allowed to re-shelf the books after removing them from the shelf. Leave the books on the table or on the trolley near the door.
- Anyone caught marking, defacing or mutilating the books or any other library material will have to pay for the material with the most current edition of the same.
- Eatables, Drinks and Mobile Phones are not allowed inside the library.
- Don’t keep your money and Jewelry in your Bag.
- Keep the Library Neat and Clean.
Working Hours of the
Library:
Monday to Saturday 9 am to 4 pm
(The Library shall be closed on Holidays)
Circulation Issue System: Books will be issued on presentation of the library card. Students are instructed to check the books while borrowing and they will be responsible for any type of damage or mutilation noticed at the time of return.
Overdue Charges: Materials borrowed should be returned on or before the due date. If returned late overdue fine will be charged for the delayed period.
Book Lost: If the books are lost, then the borrower shall replace the books of the same edition or latest edition or pay double cost of the book after getting permission from the librarian.
Library Card: Take special care to maintain the library borrower cards. Loss of borrower card should be reported to the librarian. Duplicate card may be issued against formal application.
Validity of cards: Library borrower cards are valid for the entire duration of the course to access library facilities at the end of the course borrower cards shall be returned to the library.
No due Certificate: Each student shall obtain No dues certificate from the library after returning all the books issued, returning the borrower’s cards and after paying outstanding dues, if any.
Care of Library Books: Students are require to handle the books/ Journal very carefully; marking with pencil , writing or highlighting , tearing the pages or mutilating the same in any other way will be viewed very seriously.
